Rhode Island Distributing Co. (RIDC) celebrated the release of a new collaboration beer from Foolproof Brewing Company with a launch party at Ogie’s Trailer Park in Providence on September 10. The latest offering by the Pawtucket-based brewery, Irish Rhode, is an imperial Irish red ale aged in Jameson Irish Whiskey casks. Guests enjoyed craft cocktails featuring the Jameson Caskmates line and a variety of Foolproof brews on tap, including Irish Rhode, Ocean State Lager and Raincloud Porter. The Jameson Caskmates line is finished in craft beer barrels and available in Stout Edition, IPA Edition and Black Barrel expressions. Using whiskey barrels shipped from the Jameson Distillery in Midleton, Ireland, Foolproof Brewing Company created its limited-edition brew led by Head Brewer Steve Sharp.
