Litchfield Distillery debuted a limited release of two offerings to celebrate Father’s Day. First, the Father’s Day Single-Barrel Gift Box offers a special single-barrel bourbon whiskey for the occasion. The selected bourbon came from Cask #1789, aged for six-and-a-half years before bottling. Like all Litchfield Distillery bourbons, it was distilled from 100% Connecticut-grown corn, rye and malted barley. The special release comes in a branded wood gift box, which includes a 750-ml bottle, a Glencairn glass and a note card. Second, Litchfield Distillery Honey Barrel Finished Gin is made using its award-winning gin rested in honey barrels for four months to create “a harmonious blend of traditional botanicals and delightful floral notes.” Litchfield’s gin showcases a classic juniper profile with a hint of citrus thanks to the orange and grapefruit zest that is hand-peeled at the distillery. The honey barrel finishing enhances the fragrant, violet-like aromas while adding subtle sweetness and a mellow texture that perfectly balances the juniper-forward notes. Lastly, 2024 marks Litchfield Distillery’s 10th anniversary, with celebrations to occur throughout the year. The line is distributed in Connecticut by Slocum & Sons.
