Lost Lore Tequila Showcased in Hartford

By June 1, 2025Connecticut, Top News

Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd., hosted a bartending competition at Sunberry Restaurant & Bar in Hartford on April 29. Seven local bartenders competed using the featured spirit, Lost Lore Tequila, in their cocktail creations. The winners were: honorable mention: Ozzy Casco, Il Pellicano, with his cocktail, Ale Brije; second place: Henry Abbott, Harrie’s Jailhouse, with his cocktail, Lost in the Tropics; and first place: Christina Ouellette, Fable and The Underworld, with her cocktail, Mayahuel Ritual. Lost Lore Tequila was founded by Arturo Lamas III, whose family crafted agave spirits for three generations before he was born and their knowledge was lost for a time. Out of curiosity for his heritage, Lamas developed a passion for the production of agave spirits and founded Lost Lore in Los Altos, Jalisco, a town well-known for its tequila distilleries. Lost Lore tequilas are made with mature Tequilana Weber agave, cooked in traditional stone brick ovens, fermented with Champagne yeast and distilled twice in copper pots to unleash a complex agave flavor.
