Highland Imports hosted a Rum Brunch featuring spirits from Maryland’s Lyon Distilling Co. at Oak Haven Table & Bar on April 7. Lyon Distilling Co. Owner Jaime Windon gave guests an overview on the mid-Atlantic brand’s background and led a tasting of the craft distillery’s rum line, which includes the expressions White, Dark, Sailor’s Reserve, Overproof White, Overproof, French Oak-Finished, 151 Proof, Coconut and Coffee. Guests enjoyed a “Maryland-style” brunch along with cocktails featuring Lyon Distilling Co. rums prepared by Craig Ventrice of Highland Imports and Dan Shekman of Oak Haven Table & Bar.
