An aperitivo prepared with sparkling wine, Italian liquors and aromas, and sparkling water, the deep ruby orange-colored spirit is delicious to drink cold or over ice. On the nose, it has scents of citrus fruits and herbs with tropical notes and, on the palate, it is both sweet and bitter, with a fresh taste and notes of orange and grapefruit. Ideal as an aperitif, Spritzatto Originale, 8% ABV, is sold in a 750-ml screw-cap bottle. Also new is Lalo Tequila, a unique, Mexican-owned brand whose maestro tequilero comes from a multigenerational legacy of tequila makers, founded by the grandson of Don Julio. The tequila is named after its founder, Eduardo “Lalo” González, the nickname given to him by his grandfather, the father of premium tequila, Don Julio González. Lalo continues the legacy of his father and grandfather with a new approach to perfecting blanco tequila. Lalo Tequila holds the distinction of being Verified Additive Free and is made with three ingredients: Highland agave, Champagne yeast and deep well water, distilled only twice to maintain the integrity of agave.
