
Max Hospitality hosted a Winter Wine Festival Grand Tasting at Hartford’s The Bushnell performing arts center on Jan. 31. Held in support of the Max Cares Foundation, the walk-around tasting event gave guests the opportunity to taste hundreds of fine wines from around the world on three floors of The Bushnell. A VIP Champagne and Caviar reception held just prior to the main event showcased high-end wines poured by multiple suppliers, including Louis Roederer, Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot. Through the event’s Taste of Max, each section offered a showcased dish to try from a different Max restaurant to pair with selections. Guests enjoyed small plates from Max Burger, Max’s Oyster Bar, Max A Mia, Max Downtown, Max Fish, Max Tavern, Trumbull Kitchen, Bar Max and Savoy Pizzeria & Craft Bar. A portion of ticket proceeds benefited the Max Cares Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial assistance to nonprofit educational and charitable organizations for the Greater Hartford and Springfield communities and a scholarship program for graduating seniors pursuing a career in hospitality or culinary arts.
