MD&S Distributors welcomed New York-made Black Momma Vodka to Connecticut, developed and created by Master Distiller Vanessa Braxton. Braxton is the first female African-American Master Distiller and Master Blender, Distillery Owner and Operator in the U.S. She’s been awarded multiple New York State Proclamations in recognition of her professional accomplishments, which span beyond the beverage alcohol industry. Black Momma Vodka began with its flagship vodka, bottled at 80 proof/40% ABV, distilled five times and filtered five times from corn for a signature smooth taste spun from her award-winning tea business. The vodka is distilled through crushed diamond lava rocks and fused with cascade mountain spring water from Oregon. From there, the line now includes Black Momma Pomegranate Tea Vodka, Peach Tea Vodka, Chai Tea Vodka, Green Tea Vodka and Sour Sop Tea Vodka, each at 20% ABV.
