Moonshine Alley brings the heart and soul of Nashville, aka Music City, to Providence with Southern-inspired flavors, live music and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s open for lunch and dinner daily, serving up hearty comfort food like honey butter cornbread, mac and cheeses, and dry rub brisket along with handcrafted cocktails and ice-cold beer. With live music five nights a week, locals and visitors craving hospitality will find so many options. “There is no better place to experience the venue than with Bartender Charlie Pinto behind the bar at our Music City hideaway,” said Jeff Shabo, General Manager. “Every Saturday night, we turn down the lights and turn up the speakeasy vibes, serving up these bold, smoky creations with a side of Southern charm. Let the smoke swirl, the music play and the night unfold, because at Moonshine Alley, the best stories start with a perfectly crafted cocktail.”

Bartender: Charlie Pinto

Cocktail: Smoked Pecan Pie Old Fashioned

Ingredients:
» 2.5 oz. High West Bourbon
» 2-3 drops Old Forester Smoked Cinnamon Bitters
» .125 oz. Pecan Brown Sugar Simple Syrup (house recipe)
» 1 Luxardo cherry
» 1 orange peel
» 1 large ice cube

Tools Needed:
» Cocktail smoker lid
» Kitchen torch
» Maple smoke dust
» Pecan wood chips

Method: Prepare a rocks glass with a large ice cube and add bitters. Add bourbon and simple syrup. Give it a stir. Add a cherry. Place smoke dust and wood chips in the smoker lid, place on the glass and ignite with a torch. Allow to smoke for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove smoker lid and run an orange peel along the rim of the glass and place in the drink.

“A smoked cocktail is more than just a drink, it’s an experience,” said Jeff Shabo, General Manager. “The moment it arrives, a wisp of aromatic smoke curls into the air, teasing your senses before you even take a sip. Smoking a cocktail enhances the boldness of the spirit, adding depth and layers of flavor that linger long after the glass is set down.”
