Murphy Distributors announced the newest addition to its curated tequila portfolio: Derechito Tequila. From the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, Derechito Tequila’s Founder and CEO Alberto Callejo hails from Spain and a winemaking family. Dedicated to craftmanship, Derechito uses only the finest blue Weber agave. “With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, could there be a better time to add Derechito Tequila to our growing premium tequila lineup,” said Matthew Murphy, President of Murphy Distributors. “It is exceptional.” Derechito Tequila is crafted in a process that honors the traditions of tequila production. From agave fields to aging in fine oak barrels, every step is carefully executed to ensure a smooth and flavorful tequila experience. Murphy Distributors will carry all of the offerings from Derechito, including Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, Extra Añejo and a Rose tequila, which pays homage to Callejo’s Spanish roots. The Rose tequila was a silver award winner in the 2023 Bartender Spirit Awards, while the Reposado took a gold in the 2022 London Spirits Competition.
