Murphy Distributors invited customers to experience a one-of-a-kind tasting event on June 2 aboard the Sea Mist, a chartered boat that set sail for a scenic Thimble Island sunset cruise. The two-hour event offered guests the chance to sample a selection of wines and spirits from Murphy Distributors’ premium portfolio while enjoying breathtaking views of Branford’s historic Thimble Islands. The event “provided a refreshing departure from traditional tastings” and attendees were able to savor a variety of beverages while cruising the waters with accompanying bites and food provided. “We wanted to offer our customers a different and memorable experience,” said Matthew Murphy, President, Murphy Distributors. “We are Branford based and this is in our backyard, why not utilize it? Our team came up with a great idea and way to connect with our customers.” The Thimble Island cruise was well-received by all who attended, and Murphy Distributors plans to host similar events in the future, Murphy said.
