Oceanstate Wine & Spirits brings five new brands to Rhode Island hailing from California, Oregon and Spain among the represented areas of origin. California’s Haus handmade aperitifs in four expressions: Citrus Flower, Rose Rosé, Grapefruit Jalapeño and Pomegranate Rosemary, offer a modern approach to botanical flavors, ready to enjoy on the rocks or with soda, tonic, or simple mixers. Paso Roble’s Tooth & Nail Wine Company makes its sustainable and bold wines in Paso Robles, offering three big reds: Tooth & Nail Cabernet Sauvignon, Tooth & Nail Red Blend 2018 and The Stand. Windemere Winery offers a Santa Barbara Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Devoted to estate-grown grapes and wine production from small lots in its MacGregor Vineyard in Edna Valley, the winery remains family-owned. From Oregon, Hazel Wine Company is inspired by many years of harvesting and crushing with wineries of friends-turned-family in Dayton and Yamhill Carlton, now making its wines from sustainable and earth-friendly practices, with a Pinot Noir a first entry. Sentidiño Albariño from Bodegas Gallegas in Rias Baixas, Spain, offers refreshing, crisp and balanced dry white wine at 12.5% ABV, a classic example of the Spanish grape varietal.
- Haus Citrus Flower is crisp and refreshing, made with lemon, subtle elderflower and hints of cinnamon. Haus Rose Rosé is juicy and floral with notes of raspberry, rose and strawberry. Haus Grapefruit Jalapeño has notes of grapefruit, lime leaves, pink peppercorn and a subtle kick of jalapeño. Haus Pomegranate Rosemary blends pomegranate and berries with earthy juniper and rosemary, each at 15% ABV.
- Tooth & Nail Cabernet Sauvignon offers bold flavors of plum, black cherry and chocolate.
- Tooth & Nail Red Blend 2018 is a rich and inspired cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, 51%, Merlot, 38% and Petite Sirah, 11%, driven by blackberry and spice, with a finish of soft velvety tannins and acidity. The Standa blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah and Viognier is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
- Windemere Winery offers three Central Coast varietals: Santa Barbara Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara Chardonnay and a Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Hazel Pinot Noir features floral and earthy notes blossoming into flavors of dark cherry, raspberry, black tea and a subtle hint of vanilla from the oak barrels.
- Sentidiño Albariño, made with 100% Albariño grapes, is dry white wine, fresh on the nose, with notes of ripe yellow apples and pear.
