Oceanstate Wine & Spirits added new spirits to its Rhode Island portfolio. Building on four generations of distilling traditions, Middle West Spirits focuses on elevating the distinctive flavors of the Ohio River Valley. New offerings are Middle West Michelone Reserve Bourbon Whiskey, a blend of sweet yellow corn, soft red winter wheat, dark pumpernickel rye and two-row barley for a smooth, smoky and softly sweet flavor; Middle West Dark Pumpernickel Rye Whiskey, made in small batches and barrel-aged for more than three years in new white American oak casks; Middle West Bourbon Cream, a blend of award-winning Michelone Reserve Bourbon Whiskey and sweet cream; Middle West Sherry Cask-Finished Bourbon, crafted from a blend of corn, wheat and barley, aged six years, first in freshly toasted American white oak barrels, then in sun-blackened sherry casks; Middle West Ported Pumpernickel Rye Whiskey, aged five years, first in medium toasted American White Oak barrels, then in sun-soaked French Tawny Port casks; OYO Stone Fruit Vodka, made with American Character Vodka paired with ripe Montmorency cherries, sweet yellow peaches, fragrant apricots, almonds, hibiscus and a touch of Ohio wildflower honey; and OYO Honey Vanilla Bean Vodka, made with American Character Vodka infused with local wildflower honey and organic, single-source, fair trade vanilla beans, purchased raw and processed at Middle West’s distillery.
