Pernod Ricard Sells Wine Portfolio to Accolade

By August 17, 2024Top News

Pernod Ricard agreed to sell the majority of its wine portfolio to the owners of Australia’s Accolade Wines to “focus on its core business of spirits.” The company said it would sell its wine brands from Australia, New Zealand and Spain for an undisclosed price subject to regulatory approvals. Brands include Jacob’s Creek, Orlando and St Hugo from Australia; Stoneleigh, Brancott Estate and Church Road from New Zealand; and Campo Viejo, Ysios, Tarsus and Azpilicueta from Spain. The business is an integrated platform from vineyard to bottle and includes seven wineries. The sale will “allow Pernod Ricard to further strengthen its premiumization strategy and to direct its resources to its portfolio of premium international spirits and champagne brands that drive the growth of its business,” the company said in a news release.
