Just launched by Prestige Beverage Group, Nucano Mezcal is created in small batches in the heart of Mexico’s Oaxaca region by third- and fourth-generation mezcaleros. Artsianal methods include hand-harvesting the agave; roasting it in earth; pressing by stone; using wild yeasts; and double-distillation in a copper pot over direct wood fire. Nucano comes in three age expressions: Joven (45% ABV, $45 SRP); Reposado (aged 12 months ; 40% ABV, $50 SRP); and Añejo (aged 5 years; 40% ABV, $60 SRP).
