
Patron Spirits partnered with the USBG CT Chapter on May 18, 2014 for a Pyrat Rum Patio Party and Bartenders Challenge. Hosted by Amanda Pekar, Patron Portfolio Manager, Connecticut Distributors, Inc., the event featured six guild members competing at Hot Tomatoes in Hartford, as well as an educational seminar for Pyrat Rum, a Patron Spirits Portfolio offering.

- 1st place – Peter Clayton for “The Happy Hoti Cocktail,” created with Pyrat Rum, lemon juice, simple syrup, shaken with an orange peel garnish and cinnamon sprinkle.
- 2nd place – Carl Summa for “The Laughing Libation,” created with Pyrat Rum, lime juice, grapefruit cordial, Tiki Bitters and mint.
