
Pawtucket-based Rhode Island Spirits celebrated the rebranding of its tasting room, now called The Rhodium Room, with a weekend launch that began on March 21. The distillery and bar, located at 40 Bayley Street, features Rhodium gins, vodkas and liqueurs, with special attention given to seasonal and foraged flavors. New cocktails debuted for visitors, as well as a refreshed look for the space. Founded in 2019 by Cathy Plourde and Kara Larson, RI Spirits is women-, queer- and veteran-owned. New England’s only LGBT-owned and employee-vested spirits brand, the RI Spirits’ Rhodium line is crafted from local fresh, farmed or foraged ingredients and is gluten-free, organic, non-GMO and vegan, with all in the lineup but one certified kosher by RI Kosher. Rhodium Grapefruitcello Liqueur, Limoncello Liqueur, RI Red Vodka, Coffee & Black Walnut Flavored Vodka, Citron Vodka and Forager’s Gin are among its offerings. The brand is distributed via Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company.

- A Mum’s the Word cocktail: Aalborg Taffel Red Eyed Akvavit, honeyed white wine, apricot liqueur and chrysanthemum tea. Aalborg Taffel Akvavit is a collaboration with Joseph Steadman, Owner, Red Eyed Spirits and the RI Spirits team.
- The Antipas-tini cocktail is made with Rhodium Vodka, dry vermouth, red pepper shrub, red wine vinegar, pepperoncini and oregano garnished with a cheese-stuffed pepperoncini and topped with several droplets of olive oil.
