Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA) hosted its annual Get Served event on April 21 at Iron Works in Warwick. Rhode Island’s Speaker of the House Joseph Shekarchi and legislative leaders joined the event alongside ProStart High School Culinary and Management Program students from Exeter Job Corps, who served lunch to RIHA members, bringing together the industry for a meal with fellow members. The event offered hands-on hospitality experience to students. Proceeds benefited the RI Hospitality Education Foundation, which helps continue the fund’s mission of growing the future of hospitality through the ProStart program, and the RI Hospitality Political Action Committee for its legislative efforts. The luncheon was sponsored by DoorDash.
