The Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA) recently hosted more than 50 women at the Hilton Garden Inn in Providence for its Women in Hospitality “Spring Cleaning” event on May 16. The evening provided the chance for attendees to learn from and network with a diverse and accomplished group of women in the hospitality industry. Three guest speakers gave brief presentations inspired by Netflix’s hit series “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.” First, Kristin Zosa Puleo, Program Manager for Leadership RI, spoke to attendees about “sprucing up” their leadership skills by utilizing personality testing. Then, Heather Singleton, Chief Operating Officer for the RI Hospitality Association, discussed the importance of “organizing” one’s time, priorities and commitments. Finally, Ashley Erling, Executive Producer of The Rhode Show, gave fashion tips to help “polish your performance.” Afterward, guests mixed and mingled while enjoying Barón de Ley Rioja Rosado donated by MS Walker of Rhode Island.
