Situated in Norwalk’s The Watershed hotel, Siena Ristorante merges traditional Italian cuisine with a contemporary twist set amid upscale ambience and picturesque views of the Norwalk River. Guests can choose from a variety of innovative dishes including squid ink linguini scampi, barolo braised beef ragout and braised monkfish osso buco, plus artisanal pizzas, salads and made-from-scratch pasta. To drink, guests will find a curated Italian-dominant wine list and select local and regional craft beer. Both classic and inventive signature cocktails are on the menu, reflecting the bar team’s attention to detail and elevated tastes.

Cocktail: Doctor’s Orders

Ingredients:
» 1 oz. New Riff Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey
» .75 oz. Ron Zacapa Rum
» .5 oz. Amara Sicilian Blood Orange Liqueur
» .5 oz. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
» .75 oz. spiced honey*
» 5 oz. black tea
» Garnish: orange peel with five cloves

The Doctor’s Orders.

Method: Preheat a coffee mug with boiling water. In a teapot, begin steeping one bag of chosen black tea with 8 oz. of water. Allow this to steep for four minutes. Pour the boiling water out of the coffee mug and combine the ingredients. Gently stir the mixture and garnish with an orange peel with five cloves studded into the peel.

*To make spiced honey, add three parts of organic raw honey to one part boiling water in a saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes with 20 cloves, 10 anise and eight cinnamon sticks to dilute the honey.
