
The annual Taste of Rhode Island took place at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick on June 6. The event featured food and beverages from more than 40 of Rhode Island’s best restaurants, bakeries, caterers, wineries and breweries. Celebrity Chef and winner of Food Network’s “Chopped,” Stephen Coe, gave live cooking demonstrations. Special guests included Chef Frank Terranova, host of the “Cooking with Class” segment on WJAR NBC10 and Mario Hilario, Anchor of NBC10 WJAR “Weekend Sunrise.” Live entertainment was provided by Steven Palumbo Jazz. Proceeds benefited MAE Organization for the Homeless, based in West Warwick, which facilitates in the healing of mental illness and opioid addictions within the local homeless population.
