The month’s featured cocktail recipe, The Maiden’s Kiss, was created by Bartender Aaron Delsesto as a showcase of flavors from the bar’s extensive spirits offerings.

Bartender: Aaron Delsesto

» 1.5 oz. Croft Tawny Port

Method: Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir until the side of the mixing glass is cold. Strain into a crystal glass or whichever glass you own that makes you feel rich. Express an orange peel over top for oils and then discard.

“I was looking to create a stirred rye drink that sips more like a glass of juicy mulled wine,” said Bartender Aaron Delsesto, who crafted the drink. “St. Agrestis has a really fun and interesting amaro that adds a punch of clove, allspice and cinnamon, whereas the port wine gives the drink its rich ruby color and juiciness. The Maiden’s Kiss is named after a deadly kissing game from the book series ‘The Wheel of Time.’”
