Stratford’s Two Roads Brewing Company hosted its 10-year anniversary celebration weekend on Dec. 17-18 at its Two Roads taproom. For the occasion, Master Brewer Phil Markowski created a 10% ABV brew reflecting his love for the farmhouse-style brews. His special 10% ABV 10 Year Anniversary Farmhouse Ale is fermented with a wild yeast from Two Road’s hop yard and aged in American oak barrels that previously held Berkshire Mountain Distillers’ Worker’s Comp Whiskey. Two Roads 10 Year Anniversary brew offers a “complex spicy aroma with hints of clove, pepper and tropical,” said Markowski. “The barrel-aging adds wood and whiskey notes and the taste is dry but balanced. The fruit and spice flavors complement the barrel character.”
