U.S. demand for wine is expected to reach 1.2 billion gallons in 2021, according to the recent report titled “Wine: United States,” released by Freedonia Focus Reports. The report also states sparkling wine is “expected to outpace” other demand due to the popularity of bubbly beverages with millennials. Beer and distilled spirits also represent “major competition” to wine because the lower price points are more accessible to the average buyer, the report stated.
