By October 1, 2023Rhode Island, Top News

The University Club in Providence hosted an Italian Wine Class for its members on Aug. 23. During the informational Tastes of Italy event, Natalie Volpe, Italian Wine Broker, Tre Monti, led guests through an in-depth background and tasting of several fine Italian vintages, available via Mancini Beverage – Best Beverage division. Guests enjoyed six courses of Italian-inspired cuisine prepared by Chef Arthur Barrette and his culinary team paired with fine Italian wines, including Tre Monti Doppio Bianco Pignoletto Frizzante, Tre Monti Albana di Romagna DOCG, Tre Monti Campo di Mezzo Sangiovese Superiore, Tre Monti Petrignone Sangiovese Riserva, Coppi Guiscardo Falanghina and Coppi Siniscalco Primitivo. Tre Monti’s 30-hectare estate is situated in the Imola Hills and grows its Albana, Trebbiano and Sangiovese grapes with sustainable farming methods. Founded in 1882, Puglia’s Coppi Winery specializes in Primitivo, Malvasia Blanca, Verdeca, Aleatico, Falanghina and Malvasia Nera varietals, grown in the ancient Apulian tradition.
