Brescome Barton added Vengeance Vodka, an award-winning vodka made in Wallingford, to its spirits offerings. Founded by Diane and Paul DiMauro, a portion of every sale is donated to the New Haven community through The Amity Club of New Haven. The philanthropic organization focuses on providing scholarships for education and supporting charitable causes in the greater New Haven area. The vodka’s smoothness can be enjoyed neat or it can elevate any mixed drink. Vengeance Vodka is produced by Sunshine Distillery and is a 100% potato vodka, gluten-free, 40% ABV. Of note, in April 2023, the makers of Vengeance were invited to visit The Vodka Museum in Copenhagen, which contains the world’s largest collection of vodka. After meeting with Curator Brian Ingberg and offering him a tasting, Vengeance Vodka is now prominently displayed in its own space in the museum. The vodka earned a gold medal at the 2023 American Distilling Institute International Spirits Competition and the New York International Spirits Competition named it the 2023 Connecticut Vodka Distillery of the Year. A Jan. 5 sales meeting kicked off its official launch.
