Brescome Barton hosted a Women in Whiskey tasting featuring spirits from Warren, Vermont’s Mad River Distillers at Vinted Wine Bar in West Hartford on Feb. 8. Mad River Distillers’ Maura Connolly, Co-founder and Director of Sales, and Mimi Buttenheim, President, were in attendance to give guests a brand education on the distillery’s award-winning rums, bourbons and ryes. Mad River Distillers began distilling whiskey, rum and brandy in 2013 on a 150-year-old farm in the heart of the Mad River Valley, with a focus on aged spirits that are character-driven and full of flavor. Guests enjoyed their choice of flights and specialty cocktails featuring Mad River Vanilla Rum, Revolution Rye Whiskey, Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Maple Cask Rum, Burnt Rock Bourbon, First Run Rum and PX Rum.
