Willamette Valley Vineyards named Mike Osborn, Founder of Wine.com, as its Chief Executive Officer, effective in May. The appointment follows Founder Jim Bernau’s January announcement that he would be stepping back from the CEO role while continuing to serve as President and Chairperson as part of a long-term succession plan. Osborn founded Wine.com and spent 27 years developing the business into a top player in online wine retail nationally. Bernau founded Willamette Valley Vineyards in 1983, helping elevate Oregon Pinot Noir to international acclaim. Willamette Valley Vineyards is publicly traded and continues to operate under its unique shareholder model.
