The Wine Group (TWG) announced today that it has successfully closed its acquisition of several popular premium and ultra-premium wine brands from Constellation Brands, Inc.: Cook’s, J. Rogét, Meiomi, Robert Mondavi Private Selection, SIMI and Woodbridge. The acquisition also brings TWG three new facilities and approximately 6,600 owned and leased vineyard acres throughout California. The facilities include production sites in Lodi and Monterey County, as well as the SIMI winery in Healdsburg. Approximately 500 employees who work at these sites and vineyards have now joined the TWG team. In addition to increasing TWG’s premium and ultra-premium wine offerings, the acquisition expands the company’s on-premise volume and retail presence.
