Worldwide Wines welcomed the full craft spirits line from Berkshire Mountain Distillers (BMD) to its portfolio with a team tasting and tour in April. A regionally focused maker of award-winning craft spirits, BMD was founded in 2007 by Chris Weld. All BMD products are handcrafted in small batches in Sheffield, Massachusetts, the Berkshire’s first legal distillery since Prohibition. BMD has grown to include a wide range of award-winning products: Ice Glen Vodka, Greylock Gin, Ethereal Gin, Ragged Mountain Rum, Berkshire Bourbon and New England Corn Whiskey. The team at BMD also grows cocktail- and spirits-centric herbs and botanicals in its greenhouses and gardens, in addition to welcoming guests to its distillery and tasting room.
