East Greenwich’s The Savory Grape featured Italian wine producer Librandi Estate at a July 29 wine tasting. Founded in 1950 by Antonio and Nicodemo Librandi, the winery is located in Cirò Marina, a small town in the southern Italian region of Calabria. Librandi produces all of its wine from its own 573 acres of estate-grown grapes including Gaglioppo, Magliocco and Mantonico, all of which are indigenous to the area. Sarah Nagle, Portfolio Specialist from importer Leonardo LoCascio Selections, presented the 2016 Librandi Cirò Bianco, Librandi Efeso Bianco, 2016 Librandi Duca San Felice Red and 2014 Librandi Gravello Red, all of which are distributed in the state by Winebow of Rhode Island.
