Murphy Distributors of Branford celebrated the launch of King Chancho Bandito’s Blood Red Blend wine during a sales meeting on January 4. Sourced from California’s Central Coast appellation, King Chancho Bandito’s Blood Red Blend is a full-bodied combination of Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Syrah and Petite Verdot varietals, with notes of sweet oak, red berries, plums, dark cherry and spices, finishing with a hint of tobacco.

The Central Coast wine is a 2017 vintage of 54% Zinfandel, 18% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petite Syrah and 6% Petite Verdot. King Chancho celebrates a namesake wild hog who roamed the grounds of a California vineyard and who factors into a grisly local legend dating back to 1860.

All from Murphy Distributors except where indicated: Gerry Cantanzano, Regional Manager, Terravant Wine Company; Tim Clarke, Executive Sales Manager; Mya Scott, Sales Representative; Chris Scott, Sales Representative; Branden Hylwa, Key Account Sales Manager; and Catherine Francucci, National Accounts Sales Director.
