The 10th Annual Latino Winemakers Wine Tasting and 50th Anniversary Fiesta was hosted at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford in late September. Guests enjoyed networking, celebration and discovery of new wines. Provided by Wally Wine & Spirits of Wallingford, Mi Amore Sweet Sparkling Red, part of the Ace Distributing portfolio of wines and spirits, was among showcased selections. The sweet and spritzy sparkling red from Emilia-Romagna, Italy, pairs well with a variety of foods, including the event’s tapas. The event benefited the Spanish Community of Wallingford, an organization whose mission is to respond to the needs of the Latino community by “assisting them to succeed in U.S. society and to enable Latinos to maintain and share their rich varied cultures.” Gov. Ned Lamont was in attendance, along with other local officials and hundreds of guests.
