Ace Distributing shared new products with retailers from Rudolf Jelínek Fruit Spirits of the Czech Republic. Ace Sales Manager Wendy Ainsworth accompanied Rudolf Jelínek’s Anna Gleyzer to showcase products, traveling to retailers that serve the state’s Polish communities, among other stores visited. The team presented new brands 5 Year Kosher Slivovitz Plum Brandy, Gold Slivovitz 10 Year Brandy Kosher for Passover, Bohemia Honey Brandy and Apple Jack Brandy, providing educational tastings to managers as stores brought in the new offerings. Each is a variation on traditional Polish fruit brandy made from damson plums. Often referred to as plum spirit, the Czech product has been produced in the same traditional way for more than a hundred years in the Vizovice region of Bohemia. Rudolf Jelínek continues a more than 400-year tradition of Wallachian alcohol production. The first written evidence of a distillery traces back to a Vizovice fief dating back to 1585, with an expansive history and production of fruit spirits in Wallachia. Its philosophy is based on the careful selection of fruits from plum orchards and then processing them using traditional methods and modern equipment.
