In its third consecutive year, Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), and Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey collaborated to raise funds and awareness for the ALS Association’s Connecticut chapter. This year’s campaign culminated in a fundraiser on June 4 at the Stonebridge Restaurant in Milford. Coinciding with National ALS Awareness Month in May and Lou Gehrig Day on June 2, the event was an effort to honor friends and gather donations. ALS is often linked to Lou Gehrig’s disease. “CDI has been directly impacted by ALS, with the loss of two colleagues, Tim Considine in 2012 and Jay Rice in 2014, to the disease,” said Maura Tancredi, Vice President of Human Resources, CDI, who also serves on the Connecticut Board of Directors for the ALS Association. “The commitment and passion shown by everyone at Stonebridge Restaurant, CDI and all the attendees at the Fight Against ALS event is truly inspiring. It’s an honor to be part of this team, and we’re sincerely thankful for the support in raising awareness and funds for the Connecticut ALS chapter.” Attendees were welcomed with Skrewball tastings, signature cocktails and giveaways, with Stonebridge providing live music and appetizers. The fundraiser directly benefited those in Connecticut affected by ALS, raising a total of $2,200.
