A number of local food and beverage companies volunteered to benefit the nonprofit organization Jane Doe No More at an event at the Naugatuck Events Center on November 7, 2019. During “An Evening of Tasteful Tasting,” guests enjoyed a variety of wine, craft beer, cider and spirits donated by Connecticut-based suppliers and distributors, including Brescome Barton; Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI); Eder Bros., Inc.; Fine Terroir Selections; Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd.; Murphy Distributors; Latitude Beverage/90+ Cellars; Opici Family Distributing; Winebow; and Worldwide Wines. Craft beer selections were available through Black Hog Brewing, Counter Weight Brewing Co., New England Brewing Co., Relic Brewing, Sixpoint Brewery and Two Roads Brewing Company. Guests enjoyed live music performed by Backbeat while enjoying eats from a variety of local food vendors. Sponsored by Fine Wine & Liquor of Naugatuck, event proceeds benefited Jane Doe No More, a Naugatuck-based 501(c)(3) organization working to empower survivors of sexual violence.
