The 14th annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival returns on September 19-22. The Marble House lawn will again host the two-day weekend Grand Tasting, showcasing hundreds of wines from around the world, including top selections from Opus One, Hirsch Vineyards, Belpoggio, François Carillon, Château d’Esclans, Craggy Range and Viña Montes, as well as cuisine from nearly two dozen regional restaurants and caterers. Food & Wine magazine Senior Editor and “Mad Genius Tips” host Justin Chapple will headline the Grand Tasting, cooking on the MONOGRAM Culinary Stage along with guest Chef Kevin Des Chenes, author of “Beyond My Chef Coat.” Local chefs include Terence Feury of Forty 1˚ North in Newport and Jacob Jasiniski of Cara Restaurant at The Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport. Beverage sponsors throughout the event include Santa Margherita, Wines of Israel, Château d’Esclans, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Knob Creek, Brockmans Premium Gin, Don Julio, Filippo Berio, Kobrand and Newport Craft Truly Hard Seltzer.
