
Brescome Barton, in collaboration with DORO Catering & Events, hosted a Bastille Day celebration and farm dinner at Sub-Edge Farm in Farmington on July 14. Guests enjoyed tastes of French wine, beer and spirits, including spritz bars featuring Lillet and Chartreuse, and a Grey Goose bar featuring Grey Goose Essences, with beverage selections representing suppliers including Pernod Ricard, Bacardi USA and Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits. The DORO team created fresh, French-themed cuisine using produce from Sub-Edge Farm to pair with beverage choices, which guests enjoyed in tents set amid the farm grounds. The farm grows 10 acres of sustainable and organically farmed vegetables, fruits, flowers and culinary herbs and humanely raises heritage breed pigs, pasture-raised broilers, layer hens and 100% grass-fed cows. It also takes part in a 100-share Community Supported Agriculture program.
