Beer Institute Promotes Consumer Transparency

beer-institute-logoThe Beer Institute announced an initiative to encourage members to display consumer information on their products, packaging or websites. This new initiative would prompt beer companies to disclose serving fact statements, a list of ingredients, and/or a reference to the website with the information available through a QR code. According to a recent survey from Harris Poll and Nielson, 72-percent of beer drinkers say it’s important to read nutritional labels when buying food and beverages.
