The Bollinger Group broadened its presence in Burgundy by purchasing the 50-hectare Château d’Etroyes estate for an undisclosed sum, as announced in April. The group will almost double its landholding in the region, where it owns Domaine Chanson. The new estate will convert to organic viticultural practices this year, with certification planned within five years, reports stated. Founded in 1829, the Bollinger Group is a family-owned and independent group that comprises Champagne Bollinger, Champagne Ayala, Chanson in Burgundy, Langlois-Chateau in Saumur, Hubert Brochard in Sancerre, Ponzi Vineyards in Oregon, Delamain Cognac and Anaë Gin.
