Brescome Barton fêted the launch of Clermont Steep American Single Malt Whiskey during a sales meeting at its North Haven headquarters on Sept. 8. Erin Cain, Territory Manager, and Allie Klug, American Whiskey Ambassador – East, Beam Suntory, led the sales team through an educational tasting of the new whiskey. Crafted from a mash bill of 100% American malted barley using distillation techniques that have been practiced for centuries, Clermont Steep American Single Malt Whiskey offers a unique rounded flavor with notes of toffee, vanilla, caramel and whole grain. Its blend of 80% standard malted barley and 20% golden pilsner malted barley is aged in toasted level one char barrels, resulting in a uniquely sweet spirit. The whiskey is made by James B. Beam Distilling Co. and distributed in Connecticut by Brescome Barton.
