California’s Bronco Wine Co. elected Michael J. Franzia as Chairman of the Board. A second-generation family member, he has worked for Bronco Wine Co. for nearly 30 years and has served on the board since 2016, most recently as Vice-Chairman. With the passing of Co-founder Fred T. Franzia in late 2022 and fellow Co-founders Joseph S. Franzia and John G. Franzia stepping down from the board last year, the 13 second-generation siblings and cousins have worked hard to execute a transition plan that creates a clear path for the business moving forward, with the appointment of Michael Franiza to the role of Board Chair a key piece of that plan, the news release stated. With its 50th anniversary this past year, Bronco Wine Co. joined a rare group of wine businesses that have been continuously family-owned, the company said.
