Taste of Rhode Island is a delicious celebration of Rhode Island’s great food, local spirits and live entertainment. Hosted by Pat Paolino, Pat Cruz Events and Lupe Aguilar, Rhody Foody, more than 50 of the state’s best restaurants, bakeries, caterers, wineries and breweries will be showcasing their offerings. Guests will be treated to a live cooking demonstrations by Frank Terranova and a cocktail class by award-winning bartender Ryan Draine of Dig In Dining.

The Newport Beer Festival returns for the 11th year, celebrating Rhode Island breweries and some out-of-state favorites. The second Newport Oktoberfest will take place at Fort Adams State Park on Sept. 16. Hosted by the Fort Adams Trust and Ragged Island Brewing Co., the festival will bring authentic German beer, wine, food and live music to the Ocean State, with proceeds benefiting the Fort Adams Trust, a non-profit organization working to preserve the historic Fort Adams State Park, a 200-year-old military fort turned state park situated on the mouth of Newport Harbor. Guests will enjoy tastes of Weihenstephan, Paulaner and Spaten beer from Ragged Island Brewing Co., Taproot Brewery and Rejects Beer Co. and food from local caterers and vendors. “Celebrating Oktoberfest in the shadow of Fort Adams, with a view of the Claiborne Pell Bridge, is truly a spectacular afternoon,” says Matt Gray, Owner, Ragged Island Brewing Company. “The added bonus of supporting the Fort Adams Trust makes this event a must-have on your calendar.”
The Newport Beer Festival will return to Fort Adams for its 12th year on April 20. The event will showcase beer from approximately 40 craft breweries with local, live music performed throughout the afternoon and food available for purchase. Event is 21+, rain or shine.
