Eat Drink RI Sommelier Punchdown @ Sprout Coworking Providence

The eighth annual Eat Drink RI Festival will kick off on April 24 with Rhode Island’s second Sommelier Punchdown event at the new Sprout Coworking space in Providence. Guests will have the chance to taste a variety of wines as a group of the state’s best Certified Sommeliers compete in a wine theory quiz, a blind wine tasting, and a collaboration with a local chef.

Eat Drink RI Rhody Women’s Feast @ Revival Foodworks & Brewery

The Eat Drink RI Festival will debut a new event, The Rhody Women’s Feast, on April 25 at the new Sprout Coworking space in Providence. A handful of top Rhode Island female chefs will prepare a multi-course dining experience for guests benefiting the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island. Spirits will be provided by women-owned distilleries Boston Harbor Distillery and Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur. The Eat Drink RI Festival is an annual showcase of the culinary world in Rhode Island, offering four days of culinary and beverage events.

Eat Drink RI Grand Tasting @ Rhode Island Convention Center

The annual Eat Drink RI Festival will conclude with a Grand Tasting in the Rotunda & Ballroom of the Rhode Island Convention Center on April 27.

The event will feature samples of over fifty locally produced brands of beer, wine & spirits, along with a variety of local food vendors. Guests will also have the opportunity to view and sample from all-new local food & drink presentations in three different areas of the venue.

The Connecticut Restaurant Association will host four seminars across the state to help educate restaurant owners and operators on wage and compliance issues facing their business. Each seminar will feature presentations from a panel of industry experts on topics including Wage & Hour Audits, Tip Pooling, Overtime Rules, Immigration Enforcement, Sexual Harassment Training, Mandatory FMLA, Server Side-Work and Exempt vs Non-Exempt Classification. Guest Panelists will be Ryan O’Donnell, CRA Legal Counsel, Siegel, O’Connor, O’Donnell & Beck; Daryl DeMarco, Restaurant HR Consultant, HRCT, LLC; Dave Kaletski, Partner, Datapay Payroll Services; and Nicole Griffin, CRA Contract Lobbyist, Powers, Griffin & Hill.
