Eat Drink RI Sommelier Punchdown @ Sprout Coworking Providence

The eighth annual Eat Drink RI Festival will kick off on April 24 with Rhode Island’s second Sommelier Punchdown event at the new Sprout Coworking space in Providence. Guests will have the chance to taste a variety of wines as a group of the state’s best Certified Sommeliers compete in a wine theory quiz, a blind wine tasting, and a collaboration with a local chef.

The Eat Drink RI Festival will debut a new event, The Rhody Women’s Feast, on April 25 at the new Sprout Coworking space in Providence. A handful of top Rhode Island female chefs will prepare a multi-course dining experience for guests benefiting the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island. Spirits will be provided by women-owned distilleries Boston Harbor Distillery and Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur. The Eat Drink RI Festival is an annual showcase of the culinary world in Rhode Island, offering four days of culinary and beverage events.

15th Annual Kosher Food & Wine Experience (Virtual) @ Online Event

The premier international event in the world of Kosher wine and food, the 15th annual Kosher Food & Wine Experience, will take place virtually on Sunday, February 21, 2021 with a free livecast, presented by Royal Wine Corp. Jay Buchsbaum, VP of Marketing and Wine Education, Royal Wine will lead a guided wine tasting and there will be appearances by Erik Segelbaum, Food & Wine Magazine’s 2019 Sommelier of the Year; Gabriel Geller, Wine Blogger and Director of PR, Royal Wine; and more.

Other event highlights include the introduction of new wines for Passover and appearances by celebrity chefs Michael Solomonov and Gabe Garcia, along with personalities from kosher.com, who will lead cooking demonstrations which guests can follow in real-time. Guests are invited to taste along with a signature tasting kit designed for the event, which includes 100 ml. samples of 25 featured wines, a tasting guide, recipes and a shopping list.
