The eighth annual Eat Drink RI Festival will kick off on April 24 with Rhode Island’s second Sommelier Punchdown event at the new Sprout Coworking space in Providence. Guests will have the chance to taste a variety of wines as a group of the state’s best Certified Sommeliers compete in a wine theory quiz, a blind wine tasting, and a collaboration with a local chef.

The Eat Drink RI Festival will debut a new event, The Rhody Women’s Feast, on April 25 at the new Sprout Coworking space in Providence. A handful of top Rhode Island female chefs will prepare a multi-course dining experience for guests benefiting the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island. Spirits will be provided by women-owned distilleries Boston Harbor Distillery and Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur. The Eat Drink RI Festival is an annual showcase of the culinary world in Rhode Island, offering four days of culinary and beverage events.

The annual Rising Pint Brewfest returns to Rentschler Field on June 12, with beer from more than 50 craft breweries on tap for guests, along with eats from popular food truck vendors, including Crispy Melty By Caseus, Holy Smokez BBQ, Hop Häus, Randy’s Wooster Street Pizza Shop, Big Enzo’s BBQ, Plan B Burger Bar and The Whey Station. Bands Booyah and Live Bait will play live music throughout the event.

Proceeds will benefit The Reach Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing assistance to children who are in need, physically, socially and financially through programs, advocacy and more.
