16th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest Friday Events @ Mohegan Sun | Montville | Connecticut | United States

The 16th annual Sun Wine & Food Fest at Mohegan Sun will be held on January 25, 26 and 27, 2019 featuring beer, wine, specialty spirits and dishes by local and celebrity chefs with entertainment and live demonstrations. Three days of events are offered including a Bourbon Tasting session and Divine Delights, which pairs desserts and  wines. The Grand Tasting showcases more than 1,000 brands will enjoy tastings of specialty sponsor spirits. Foodies can sample signature dishes from the region’s most highly-rated restaurants. The Main Culinary Stage is the backdrop for two days of celebrity chef demonstrations and contests. Other features offered are the Celebrity Chef Dine Around on Saturday night, while  Sunday culminates with a Sunday Brunch with Martha Stewart.The official charity is Channel 3 Kids Camp. Bourbon Tasting presented by Beam Inc., Bear’s Smokehouse and BoutiqueCigar.com

Mix and mingle while getting a taste of the finest bourbon from Jim Beam, along with tasty selections from Bear’s Restaurant Group and a cigar from BoutiqueCigar.com.

Friday, January 25th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm – Earth Ballroom. Tickets to the Bourbon Tasting are $90.00 per person.

Grand Tasting Preview

Get a sneak peek into one of Sun Wine & Food Fest’s signature showcases, the Grand Tasting! Taste a variety of wine, beer and spirits and pair your favorites with delectable dishes from some of the regions most highly – rated restaurants. Plus, watch the masters show off their culinary skills during a night of celebrity chef demonstrations. Preview the main event. Chef Kevin Des Chenes’ demo will be from 8:00pm to 8:30pm and will be followed by Chef Plum’s demo from 8:45pm to 9:15pm.

Friday, January 25th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm – Earth Expo & Convention Center. Tickets for the Grand Tasting Preview are $50.00 per person. Tickets for designated drivers are $20.00 per person.

USBG New Haven Hosts Barrell Bourbon Tasting @ Kawa Ni

Join the USBG New Haven Chapter and Alexandra Farrington, Regional Brand Ambassador for Barrell Bourbon, for a bourbon tasting at Kawa Ni in Westport on Monday, February 19, 2018. Attendees, including USBG New Haven members, will be able to taste nine varieties of Barrell Bourbon and select USBG New Haven’s own barrel. Based on cumulative scoring, the winning sample will then be available through Northeast Beverage. Space is limited. Please RSVP to newhaven@usbg.org to hold your spot.

USBG chapters host an array of beverage industry events and educational sessions with beverage suppliers, as well as participates in regional, national and international industry events to further the profession and the craft of bartending.
