The 2021 Small State Great Beer Festival will take place at Dillon Stadium in Hartford on Oct. 30, 2021. Hosted by Hartford Prints! in collaboration with Hartford Athletic, the annual event is a showcase of beer, cider and spirits from more than 30 Connecticut-based suppliers. Guests will have the opportunity for unlimited tasting during two general admission sessions and a VIP session throughout the day, along with food from local food truck vendors and a backdrop of live music. Hartford Flavor Company, one of Hartford’s Parkville neighborhood attractions, will host its fifth-annual Crafted Hartford event to support local crafts makers and artisans. More than 20 vendors will be set up in Hartford Flavor Company’s distillery space on Arbor Street, selling jewelry, handbags, skin care, illustrations, pottery, clothing, candles, teas, natural home products and more. Crafted provides a great opportunity to shop for locally-made items for unique holiday and birthday gifts while sipping cocktails featuring spirits and liqueurs from Hartford Flavor Company and its Wild Moon Botanicals and Wild Moon Liqueurs line. Food from the Tacos Locos food truck will be available. The event will also feature a book signing with Terry Walters, whose newest release “Nourish” contains plant- based recipes to nourish body, mind, and soul; live music by Brett Trottier, face painting for kids of all ages and a raffle for a chance to win a bottle of Hartford Flavor Company spirits and a group tasting tour.
The CT Brewers Guild will host its fifth-annual CT Craft Beer Fest at Hartford’s XL Center on April 22, 2023. Guests will enjoy pours from more than 60 craft breweries throughout the afternoon, beginning with a VIP session at 1:00 PM. All proceeds will benefit the CT Brewers Guild to help further the goals of the craft beer movement in CT.
Kicking off February’s Winter Wine Festival Month, the Max Cares Foundation and Max Hospitality will host the 2024 Winter Wine Festival Grand Tasting at The Bushnell in Hartford on Jan. 31. During A Taste of Max, guests will enjoy a walkaround tasting wines from around the world and education from wine professionals Food from a variety of Max Restaurant locations will be available to pair with selections, including Max Downtown, Trumbull Kitchen, Savoy Pizzeria, Max Burger, Max’s Tavern, Max’s Oyster Bar, Max a Mia, Max Fish, and Max Catering and Events. A VIP Champagne and Caviar reception will be available for a limited number of guests featuring high end wines from Louis Roederer, Moet & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and more. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the Max Cares Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial assistance to nonprofit educational and charitable organizations for the Greater Hartford and Springfield communities, along with a scholarship program for graduating seniors pursuing a career in hospitality or culinary arts.
