Campari Group announced its minority equity stake in brand incubator Catalyst Spirits for an undisclosed sum, giving it a route to purchase the brand. The move follows Campari Group’s recent August news that it had acquired an initial 15% interest in Howler Head Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey with Natural Banana Flavor, with a medium-term route to total ownership, and concomitantly to obtain exclusive global distribution rights. Catalyst Spirits is a U.K.-based global spirits incubator company helmed by industry veteran Simon Hunt. Howler Head, which was named the official flavored bourbon whiskey of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, is currently available in the U.S., U.K. and Canada, with further global expansion planned for 2023.
