
Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), added several new brands throughout January with sales meetings and on-premise launch events highlighting several new suppliers. Canned wines from New Zealand’s Crafters Union; Black Box Spirits’ Vodka, Tequila and Whiskey; Napa, California’s Saintsbury winery; County Cork, Ireland’s Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur; and Atlanta, Georgia’s 18.21 Bitters were all launched with the CDI sales team.
- Crafters Union premium canned wines in Pinot Grigio, Red Blend and Rosé offer the flavors of Hawke’s Bay in artfully designed packaging. From the makers of Black Box Wines comes Black Box Spirits Whiskey, Vodka and Tequila. - Gary Bulger, Senior Vice President Sales, Saintsbury. The small, family-owned winery is based in Napa Valley, California, and varietals include Carneros Chardonnay, Carneros Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir and Vincent Van Gris Pinot Noir Rosé. The team focuses on innovation, producing and bottling single block and single clone wines.
- Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur was awarded the Chairman’s Trophy at the 2018 Ultimate Spirits Challenge and its 97 score is the highest that an Irish cream liqueur has received. The farm-to-table product is crafted from single batches of fresh cream that are combined with premium Irish Whiskey within 48 hours of collection.
