Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), recently partnered with J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines to celebrate the winery’s 50th anniversary through its 50 Years, States & Ways of Giving initiative, which donated more than $250,000 to 50 charitable organizations nationwide. Among the recipients was Bread for Life, a nonprofit in Southington dedicated to fighting hunger for the past 40 years by providing daily meals and food deliveries to seniors and homebound individuals, and summer support for children. To commemorate J. Lohr’s $5,000 donation, volunteers from J. Lohr and CDI joined forces with Bread for Life on Nov. 14, preparing meals and connecting with clients. “It is incredibly powerful to hear firsthand from clients how much Bread for Life’s services and that community have meant to them during their times of need,” said Amanda Doll, New England Division Sales Director, CDI. “Knowing we could contribute to such meaningful work is truly humbling.”
